Experience the Making of Folkestone to Dover

Reserve your place at the Folkestone to Dover live printing event

Tickets coming soon.

For now, you can reserve your place with a small £5 contribution towards bringing this project to life.

Your contribution helps support the making of this event — including printmaking materials, specialist paper, travel to London for large-scale printing, preparation time and the team needed to help deliver the live printing experience.

By reserving your place, you’ll be among the first to experience the creation of Folkestone to Dover — from the carved blocks and layered process through to the final printed work.

Full event tickets and details will be released shortly.

---------------------------------------
The event will take place at The Grand, Folkestone in August/September 2026, bringing the story of my largest linocut to date, to life. A design featuring Folkestone to Dover.

After developing and preparing the edition, the majority of the A1 multi-block linoprint will be printed on a specialist press in London. The final stages of the process will then return to Folkestone, where I will complete the final layer live at The Grand.

Alongside the XXL 'Folkestone to Dover' Linoprint, I will be creating a new and final edition of Folkestone West Sunset, reimagined in a complementary colour palette so the two works can sit together as a complete coastal pair. Originally created as a celebration of Folkestone’s western coastline, this new colourway creates a visual connection between the two pieces — from west to east — tracing the landscape and atmosphere of the Kent coast.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see the artwork develop layer by layer — with each stage of the printmaking process displayed, revealing how a blank sheet of paper gradually transforms into a finished composition.

Inspired by the way museums present the making and evolution of artworks, this event will showcase not only the finished print, but the craft, patience and decisions behind every layer.

Alongside the live printing, there will be opportunities to meet me, the artist, learn about traditional relief printmaking and explore a selection of original works.

Date: September 2026 (exact date to be confirmed)
Location: The Grand, Folkestone

Further event details, including talks and ticket information, will be announced soon.
