Carve Out Time — April Print Club: Sunny Sands
Each month, I create a new linocut for my Monthly Print Club, alongside a studio letter sharing the process and inspiration behind the work. This second edition explores the softness and movement of the coast — capturing sea, sky, clouds and shifting light through a single-colour linocut print. Using traditional battleship grey linoleum and Cranfield oil-based inks, I experimented with fine carving techniques, layered textures and a subtle rainbow roll to create a calming, coastal feel. The piece also marks the beginning of my next XXL linocut inspired by Dover cliffs, Folkestone lighthouse and the Kent coastline.
